(Oh, and don’t stress it if you don’t have any prior experience. We’ve designed these parties with beginners in mind.)

WHAT TO EXPECT.

Imagine this…you and your best friends gathered together, laughing, bonding and trying something new while creating memories for a lifetime! Your group will learn a beginner-friendly routine on the apparatus of your choice with plenty of time to capture photos or videos to document the occasion.

Our customized party options are as unique as YOU! Select from:

  • 60 or 90 minute party length

  • Multiple party styles to choose from (select one or two):

    • Pole Dance

    • Chair Dance

    • Aerial Hammock (Sling)

    • Aerial Hoop (Lyra)

    • Grounded Dance (Tap, Jazz, Funk, Hip-Hop, you name it)

  • Optional lobby/kitchen rental for social time before or after instruction

All parties come with:

A complimentary Midwest Movement Collective logo item for the guest of honor - they get to choose from any of our merch.

Vouchers for all guests containing discounts on future classes at the studio.

  • This is our most popular party plan due to it’s versatility! This plan is perfect for those desiring to spend the full 90 minutes learning a single apparatus or for those who can’t make up their minds and want to experience 45 minutes each on two different apparatuses!

    When booking your party select from one or two of the following:

    Aerial Hammocks, Aerial Hoop, Pole Dance, Chair Dance, or Grounded Dance

    Each party kicks off with time for you to take a few group photos. Then you’ll learn some fun beginner moves on your selected apparatus(es). You’ll leave the party with a great mini-routine to take with you! The last few minutes of the party are a great opportunity to capture photos or videos of your group demonstrating their new skills!

    Party Details:

    Guests: 8 person minimum, 24 person maximum.

    (If your party falls below 8 participants, you will be required to pay the difference to meet the minimum).

    Pricing: $55.00 per person

    Deposit: $110 down payment required to officially book your party. If you meet the minimum, this deposit will cover your attendance plus one additional person. All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • This party is short and sweet! It’s perfect for those short on time but offers a fun opportunity to experience your apparatus of choice!

    When booking your party select from one of the following:

    Aerial Hammocks, Aerial Hoop, Pole Dance, Chair Dance, or Grounded Dance

    Party Details:

    Guests: 6 person minimum, 10 person maximum.

    (If your party falls below 6 participants, you will be required to pay the difference to meet the minimum. If you have more than 10 guests, please see our 90 minute party plan.)

    Pricing: $45.00 per person

    Deposit: $90 down payment required to officially book your party. $110 down payment required to officially book your party. If you meet the minimum, this deposit will cover your attendance plus one additional person. All deposits are non-refundable

 FAQs

  • No prior experience is required! Our instructors are experts at breaking down moves and are there to ensure you have a great time. Just come with an open mind and ready to have fun!

  • Leggings or yoga pants are appropriate for all of our parties! Booty shorts, crop tops, and outfits that make you feel sexy are welcome for pole dance, chair dance, and grounded dance.

    If you are attending an aerial hammocks party, please wear a shirt that covers your underarms (the shirt can be long or short-sleeved). This will help you move more easily through the hammock fabric and prevent the fabric from causing friction on your skin.

    If you are attending an aerial hoop class, make sure the backs of your knees are covered with a tight fitting material (leggings or yoga pants).

    For grounded dance parties, wear anything that allows you freedom of movement.

    We recommend dressing in layers, especially if you are attending a party with a combination of apparatuses.

    Parties will be held in bare feet or socks. Please do not wear any jewelry as it can damage the apparatuses.

  • Call the studio at 616-227-0760 or send us an electronic inquiry using the Party Request Form. It is recommended to book your party as far in advance as possible to guarantee your preferred date is available.

  • Yes, as long as the group is comfortable with that.

    Non-participating guests will not be included in the minimum guests required under each party plan.

    Non-participating guests will be charged $20 per person.

  • Parties can be held anytime the studio space is available. The most popular times are Friday evenings and Saturday and Sunday afternoons and evenings. Regardless of what day and time you prefer, contact us and we will work with your time requirements to get your event scheduled.

  • Let the party planning begin! Your non-refundable deposit of $100 will reserve your party date and time. Once a deposit is received, we will contact the party host will all the details. We will provide you with all the information you need to pass along to your guests. The party cost (in full) will be due one week prior to the event.

  • Yes. You may arrange to book the lounge area to use after your party ends. The lounge is booked in 30 minute increments at a rate of $50 for every 30 minutes. If you are adding the lounge booking onto. your party reservation, you may want to arrive a little early to set up your food and beverages.

    Alcohol is not allowed before or during the event, but can be enjoyed after the event.

    Food is not allowed in the studio where classes take place, but you are welcome to eat and drink in our lounge and lobby areas. We have a fridge, freezer, and microwave available for use along with a variety of reusable or compostable cups, bowls, plates, flatware, mugs, serving platters, tongs, and more. The use of all of these items are included with the lounge rental.

  • Tips are always a wonderful gesture and area truly appreciated by our hard-working instructors. Tips, of course, are optional and at your discretion.
