  • Check-in at the front desk for classes, or with your instructor. • All of our class descriptions include recommendations of what to wear for different classes, but mostly we want you to be comfortable! Regardless of gender, we ask that all students wear clothing that covers their genitals and nipples entirely, and choose clothing that reduces accidental nudity and exposure. We accept clothing choices on all bodies that make you and the studio community safe and comfortable.

Layers! We recommend dressing in layers you can shed as you warm up and get moving. Some classes can benefit from having sleeves, long pants, or socks if the choreography takes you onto the floor. Clothing recommendations are included in all of our class descriptions on our website and in Wellness Living (our booking software).

Note: Rings, dangling jewelry, and other body accessories that pose damage to equipment or user are not permitted on aerial apparatuses including poles, silks, and lyras.

    • For pole classes, we recommend layers & being able to strip down to shorts and a sports bra or top. Exposed skin helps grip the pole

    • For aerial classes, it is recommended to wear tight fitting clothing that covers torso/midsection and backs of knees

  • Always bring a water bottle! We do not sell bottled water at the studio, as a commitment to reducing plastic waste and boycotting water bottling companies.

Your dancing shoes! If your class requires footwear of any kind, we ask that you carry your dance shoes in and change into them in the lobby: we don’t wear street shoes in the studios.

Layers! We recommend dressing in layers you can shed as you warm up and get moving. Some classes can benefit from having sleeves, long pants, or socks if the choreography takes you onto the floor. Other items we’ve seen folks bring: personal sweat towel, grip aids for aerial equipment, a phone tripod for recording choreography at the end of class, snacks for between classes.

  • We have storage cubbies in all of our studios: leave your street shoes in the lobby, and carry your other items into the studio where your class is taking place to store them in a cubby. We encourage you to put electronic devices on silent if they’re in your bag/in the studio with you.

  • We keep a number of things on-hand for you to use at the studio: yoga mats (5mm, 6mm and 7mm, as well as extra long/extra wide mats), yoga props (blocks and straps), small sweat rags/equipment cleaning rags, equipment cleaning spray, and sound systems that are bluetooth capable.

  • You are welcome to bring your phone into the studio, but we ask that it is set to silent and stored in a cubby during your class. If you are on your phone during class, an instructor may ask you to put it away to refocus on class, for your safety and to ensure the safety and positive experience of others in your class.

It is up to individual instructors whether they allow phone usage in class, including photos and recordings. We ask that regardless of an instructor’s class preferences, that you always ask for consent before taking photos and videos if other clients are present and might be captured in your photo/video. Furthermore, if you plan to post photos or videos online or share them publicly, we insist that you ask for additional consent from classmates. This policy is to ensure that we always prioritize the comfort, privacy, and expectations of others, and guarantee that the studio is safe for all users.

  • Water is welcome in the entire studio - we ask that you consume snacks and non-water beverages in the lobby or lounge, to avoid accidents and messes. Our studio sells snack options, but not beverages. However, you can refill your water bottle from the fountain in the lobby.

  • The studio has ample parking right in front of our entrance, in a free lot. If the lot is full, there is street parking on Ionia, directly behind the studio. There is public transportation available along the 52 off Monroe through Ride the Rapid. Grand Rapids also offers a bike and scooter rental system.

  • All clients and staff members are encouraged to wear a mask if desired. If we are made aware of a COVID case at the studio, we will contact clients who might be affected and encourage them to test themselves before returning to the studio.
