Class Descriptions.

Aerial Dance.

  • Aerial Silks 1 Series.

    In the Aerial Silks 1 Series, we will focus on knotting, climbing, and holding ourselves in the air! Over 8 weeks, you will become comfortable with various silk poses, basic combos, and proper stretching and conditioning. Our main goal is to provide you with a solid foundation in aerial silks before moving on to more advanced techniques! When the 8-week series is complete, you're welcome to start drop-in classes like Aerial Silks 2, or repeat the series to build more confidence.

    There are no prerequisites, just a willingness to show up and give it your best!

    Recommended attire: A bodysuit or a tight-fitting top and leggings. We ask that you refrain from wearing jewelry or other accessories that may catch on the silks.

  • Lyra 1 Series.

    The Lyra 1 Series is designed to empower beginners with the necessary knowledge to safely train with Lyra (aerial hoop)! During this 8-week series, you will learn basic mounts, dismounts, and poses as well as transitions and accents. Each class will include a full-body warm-up, stretching, and appropriate conditioning to get you comfortable with the apparatus. You will develop upper-body strength, coordination, and body awareness! The series prepares you for drop-in classes like Lyra 2, or you can take it again to gain more confidence in Lyra!

    There are no prerequisites, just a willingness to show up and give it your best!

    Recommended attire: Form-fitting clothing with sleeves and legs covered.

  • Lyra 2.

Grounded Movement.

  • Ballet for All Bodies.

    Ballet for All Bodies is a joyful, low-impact class aimed at building a solid foundation for ballet technique, combinations, and vocabulary. Dancers should expect variety in music choices, as well as handouts to support their learning. While this class is geared toward beginner and early-stage dancers, modifications will be provided for students returning to ballet.

    Recommended attire: Ballet flats, freeform dance shoes, jazz shoes, socks (with or without grips), or barefoot. Dress for ease of movement.

  • Broadway Dance Series.

    Are you a fan of Broadway shows? You've come to the right place! Jon will lead you through eight weeks of performance, choreography, and character building! Throughout this series, you will learn about a musical theater production based on individual set numbers. As a group, you will practice formations and sharpen your performance skills! Dancers and performers of all levels are welcome to participate in this series! This class is about exploring the world of music theater and having fun! 

    In May-June, the series theme will be "Grease"

    Recommended attire: Dress comfortably, either with leggings or jeans and a tshirt, or get into character! Please wear supportive shoes!

  • Contemporary.

    Contemporary dance blends elements from modern, jazz, lyrical, and ballet without adhering to rigid genre rules. This free-form class will emphasize creating new techniques, improvisations for personal expression, and individual creativity. Dancers of all skill levels are welcome, beginners included.

    Recommended attire: Freeform dance shoes, jazz shoes, socks (with or without grips), or barefoot. Dress for ease of movement.

  • Dance Styles Series.

    This is a great way for beginners to experience a variety of dance styles! Our 8-week series will introduce you to six styles of dance with entry-level movements, building a strong foundation for your dance repertoire! The final two weeks of class will feature choreography that integrates styles and key elements from previous weeks. Upon completing this series, you will be invited to begin taking drop-in classes, such as All Levels Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, Ballet for All Bodies, and more! Taking the series again is also an option if you wish to improve your confidence further!

    Recommended attire: Because of the variety of styles covered in this class, we recommend taking classes with bare feet or in socks. Feel free to wear your freeform dance shoes or slippers if you already have them. Suitable clothing should be comfortable to move in and be able to handle a bit of flexibility!

  • Tap.

    A high-energy Tap class that combines choreography, technique, improvisation, games, musicality, and rhythm!

    Prerequisite:
    Intended for students with 4-6 months of tap experience; participants should be familiar with shuffles, flaps, and ball changes.

    Recommended attire: Wear clothing that is comfortable to move in. Tap shoes are required.

POLE DANCE.

  • Pole 1 series.

    Are you ready to embark on your pole journey? We designed the Pole 1 Series to meet the needs of brand new pole students like you! By learning grounding skills first, you will build strength while exploring pole technique. We'll guide you through classic pole spins, floorwork, and transitions. Then, we will begin prep for climbing the pole! Your instructor may lead you through a short choreography or combo at the end of class. Once you have completed this series, you are welcome to start taking our drop-in classes: Pole 1.5, Pole 2, Spin Pole, Pole Heels, or you can take the series again for more practice!

    There are no prerequisites, just a willingness to show up and give it your best!

    Recommended attire: A sports top/tshirt, and leggings/shorts/pole bottoms. Kneepads and socks are optional.

  • Pole 1.5.

  • Pole 2.

    Pole 2 is designed for those who are capable of climbing and executing a basic invert from the floor. Students will learn inverted poses from the floor, combos up and down the pole from climbing positions, and combining pole sequences. An intentional warm-up and targeted conditioning will be followed by specific pole moves, and class may conclude with a short choreographed flow.

    Prerequisites:
    * Climb to the top of the pole
    * Able to execute an outside leg hang lying on the floor
    * Pole sit
    * Fan kick

    Recommended attire: A sports top/tshirt, and shorts/pole bottoms. Kneepads and socks are optional.

  • Pole 3.

    Pole 3 is intended for those who can perform leg-hangs on both sides as well as strong climbs. We will continue practicing various tricks, poses, and spins, as well as introducing drops, shoulder-mounts, and aerial inversions. Incorporated warm-up exercises and targeted conditioning are followed by practice of specific pole moves and a choreographed flow to tie everything together.

    * Outside leg hang
    * Inside leg hang
    * Superhero
    * Butterfly
    * Brass sit

    Recommended attire: A sports top/tshirt, and shorts/pole bottoms. Kneepads and socks are optional.

  • Pole 4.

    Pole 4 is designed for those who are comfortable performing aerial inversions (with or without a spot). Students will learn aerial inverted poses, tricks, and combinations up and down the pole, drops, and poses with less than two points of contact. After an intentional warm-up and targeted conditioning, specific pole moves will be practiced, and a short choreographed flow will tie everything together.

    Prerequisites:
    * Reverse grab
    * Caterpillar climb
    * Shoulder mount
    * Brass Monkey

    Recommended attire: A sports top/tshirt, and shorts/pole bottoms. Kneepads and socks are optional.

  • Pole Heels.

    Pole Heels emphasizes floor work, low flow, all-level tricks, and heel work techniques. Students will engage in combinations and short choreography that emphasize the use of heels in pole dance with a sultry and sensual focus. We will include heel work-specific stretching in every class!

    Prerequisite:
    Students who have taken Pole Fundamentals for at least two months or have prior experience are welcome. Pole heels are strongly encouraged, but not required.

    Recommended attire: Knee pads and heels are required. Pole heels are highly recommended.

Yoga.

  • Deep Stretch Yoga.

    Slowing down during Deep Stretch Yoga will help you ease tightness, relieve soreness, and restore balance to your body. Through active stretching with longer holds, we will release tension and improve flexibility and mobility while lengthening major muscle groups. Each class will begin with dynamic movements to warm the muscles, creating a space to go deeper with time and practice. Modifications are offered to suit all levels and abilities.

    Recommended attire: Dress comfortably for various yoga poses that allow for light movement and long holds.

  • Yoga for Dancers & Movers.

    Yoga for Dancers & Movers is an all-levels class designed to target overused and uncared for muscle groups. Intentional yoga can reduce the risk of injury while doing other dance and movement activities by building strength, increasing mobility, and practicing gentle flexibility.

    You'll experience a full-body experience with a blend of yoga flow, deep stretch, and restorative yoga principles. Autumn will guide you every step of the way!

    For beginners or those not familiar with yoga terms, Autumn will provide verbal and visual cues to make the class as easy to follow as possible. $10 drop-in, included for Unlimited Members.

    Recommended attire: Wear comfortable clothing that allows for light movement and long holds in various yoga poses.
